A meeting was held between representatives of UNWE and the company AKVA-90 Engineering Ltd.

    On May 15, 2023, the project management team of EUROCC2 from UNWE met with representatives of AKVA-90 Engineering Ltd.

    AKVA-90 Engineering Ltd is a company whose specialists are experts in water measurement, including level, flow, and pressure. They hold a patent for a unique measurement principle called “Method for determining water quantity in open channels.”

    Established in 2003, AKVA-90 Engineering Ltd is the successor of AKVA-90 Ltd, founded in 1990. They have extensive experience in solving water-related issues.

    One of the core values of the company is directing efforts and skills towards benefiting nature. The high quality and safety of their products aim to manage the impact on natural resources, urban, and environmental surroundings.

    The representatives of the company, Mr. Deyan Portanov and Mr. Ivan Denev, presented a Proposal for the Development of an Intelligent System for Measuring, Monitoring, and Controlling Water Resources in the Republic of Bulgaria.

    The project representatives, Prof. Valentin Kisimov and Prof. Kamelia Stefanova, presented the technical capabilities of the scientific infrastructure created under the project. Possibilities for integrating the SCADA system with the ICT infrastructure of the project were discussed.

    Opportunities for integration, particularly using the MQTT protocol, were explored. Potential collaborations for future projects involving Bulgarian economic entities were outlined. AKVA-90 Engineering Ltd, as part of its activities, needs to conduct scientific research and can collaborate with UNWE to conduct joint scientific studies related to the use of the established infrastructure and the developed scientific expertise in the field.

    The directions for future scientific research were outlined, aiming to potentially create solutions such as Proof of Concept, focused on achieving conscious solutions to meet the needs of Bulgarian users.
